The player's heroband is named the Ruby Moon Seekers. The band's stated objective is to promote the Lunar Way by seeking out its more subtle enemies, and to help the people of the city of Joranit. The band consists of the following members:

Vorkoth is a minor Lunar Immortal. In the mundane world he is represented by the dark reddish-purple gemstones that the band members wear as amulets. He can communicate silently with any band member wearing one of these amulets. In the Otherworld, he appears as a black cloak, shaped as if draped over a humanoid form, but which is entirely empty and floats in mid-air. He is a denizen of the Black Moon first summoned into the mundane world by priestesses of Gerra during the Sheng Seleris years.
Riggwelter - a noncorporeal spirit. In his mortal life, he was a Karasali wastrel, who found the Goddess while destitute and lying drunken in a gutter. He learned to control his more destructive tendencies with the help of the Lunar Way, and became a minor Immortal when he passed on. His abilities are: Find Party 20, Life and Soul of the Party 2w, Pissed as a Fart 18.
The Eyes of Justice are a Dara Happan heroband based in Joranit, and are the principal recurring foes of the Ruby Moon Seekers at the present time. They seek to reduce Lunar influence over the city, and promote a return to old-fashioned Dara Happan values. The band is lead by a minor noble named Ordanelm, and also includes a former army officer named Mitoseveth, a Lokarnos merchant named Verlanus, a priest named Koratash, and at least one other member. The band wields powers of light and tradition.
